Choreographers // Rhonda Miller
A founder and co-owner of L.A.’s premier dance studio, The Edge, teaching the likes of Drew Barrymore and Brooke Shields, she was the leader for many years of its convention business, L.A. DanceForce. She has been one of the most sought-after choreographer/ dance instructors in the U.S. dance convention industry for many years.
Splitting her time between New York City and Los Angeles, Rhonda’s innovative work caught the eye of Broadway choreographer-director Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Peep Show, Hairspray) who included her on his team for the renowned Broadway Bares, starring the talents of such performers as David Hyde Pearce, Tim Curry, Cindy Lauper, Alan Cumming,Harvey Fierstein and Jane Krakowski from 30 Rock for the past seven years. Among Rhonda’s stage credits are Nothing LikeA Dame at the Marquis Theater in New York City, starring Jennifer Holliday, Kate Clinton from the Showtime Series the L Word, Jill Eickenberry of LA Law, Maureen McGovern, Tony Award winner Barbara Walsh from the Broadway Production of Company and Tiler Peck soloist with New York City Ballet. Also, ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway starring Susan Lucci and Kimberly McCullough, at Town Hall, New York City.
Rhonda’s television credits include General Hospital, The Boys for HBOand It’s Garry Shandling’s Show for HBO. Her innovative and energetic work has also been seen in commercials and industrials for such Fortune 500 companies as Chrysler, Toys R Us, Warner Brothers and Exxon-Mobil.
Recently Rhonda conceived, directed and choreographed “CINEMATASTIC” for PRINCESS CRUISE LINES, choreographed RENT for Skylight Opera, CHICAGO at Mainstate Music Theater as well as the music video, “I’M BEAUTIFUL” directed by world renowned comedian, MARGARET CHO. She is currently in development for a new Broadway Dance Project, Eve’s Turn…An Erotic Journey from the female perspective.
She is proud to have her B.F.A from the University of Utah and her M.P.A from Oklahoma City University. Currently, she is the director of the B.A. “Commercial” Dance Program, the first of it’s kind, at Pace University in New York City.
