Writers // Rob Cantor & Andrew Horowitz

Rob Cantor and Andrew Horowitz are two-fifths of cult indie-rock band Tally Hall. As members of Tally Hall, Cantor and Horowitz have recorded two major label albums, appeared on several major media outlets, and played sold-out shows across the country. "Good & Evil," their second album, will be released in spring of 2011.

While a pre-med student at the University of Michigan, Cantor met Horowitz, a composition student, and formed Tally Hall. In time, their quirky songs and surreal videos garnered national attention, and they graduated from keg to concert stage. Upon finishing school, Cantor forwent a full scholarship to medical school, opting instead to write and perform music.

As songwriters, Cantor and Horowitz's music has appeared on numerous outlets, including "The O.C.," MTV's "You Hear It First," "Best Week Ever," Electronic Arts' The Sims , the 2016 Chicago Olympic campaign, and the BBC. They also write music for the hit Disney Channel animated program, "Happy Monster Band." Horowitz is the recipient of many awards, including the John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship and two Hopwood Awards for fiction and poetry. Cantor won a John Lennon Songwriting Award.

Cantor and Horowitz are currently writing a work for the stage in addition to other projects.
