ROOMS: A ROCK ROMANCE, THE FOREIGNER starring Matthew Broderick for
Roundabout Theatre Company, FRANZ KAFKA’S THE CASTLE (OCC nomination,
Outstanding Director of a Play), MISS JULIE, and NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY.
He
also directed GOLDA’S BALCONY on tour, in London, Los Angeles, and in San
Francisco at A.C.T.
Most recently, he directed LOST IN YONKERS at The Old Globe and the world premiere of SÉANCE ON A WET AFTERNOON, a new opera starring Lauren Flanigan at Opera Santa Barbara. His production of SÉANCE will open at New York City Opera in April of 2011.
Other recent credits include: OTHELLO and MUCH
ADO ABOUT at the Alley Theater in Houston; and a new reinvisioning of SEVEN
BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS which played at TOTS, Papermill Playhouse, TUTS
and North Shore Music Theater (2008 IRNE Award, Outstanding Diretcor of a Musical). Other regional theaters include: Alliance, Asolo, Berkshire Theater Festival, Colorado
Shakespeare Festival, Goodspeed Opera House, La Jolla Playhouse, Pasadena Playhouse,
Prince Theater, Signature, Studio Arena, TheatreWorks, Westport County Playhouse.
Upcoming: Neil Simon’s BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND
to open The Old Globe’s 75th Anniversary Season, and ARSENIC AND OLD LACE
starring Betty Buckley and Tovah Feldshuh at Dallas Theater Center. For radio
broadcast, he directed the Grammy-nominated recording of THE PRISONER OF
SECOND AVENUE, starring Richard Dreyfus and Marsha Mason, for L.A.
TheatreWorks.
