Erik T. Lawson is a sound designer and composer for the theatre, based in New York.

Recent designs include The Effect (Barrow Street Theatre), Sotto Voce (Asolo Repertory Theatre, Theatre for the New City), Tsunami (Miami Cultural Arts Center), Stalking the Bogeyman (New World Stages, Southwark Playhouse London), The Love of the Nightingale (Brown-Trinity Rep.), and On The Other Side of the River (HERE).

Additional design credits include productions at Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre, Miami Dade County Auditorium, Axis Theatre, Brave New World Rep., Luna Stage, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

Internationally, his designs and original scores have been exhibited in the Czech Republic at the 2011 and 2015 Prague Quadrennial, and at World Stage Design 2013 in Cardiff, UK. He is a Lincoln Center Directors Lab alumnus, and received the 2013 USITT Robert E. Cohen Sound Design Award. MFA: Carnegie Mellon University, School of Drama.
